Informal meeting of foreign ministers of G20 opens in Mexico
Today the Mexican resort Los Cabos has opened an informal meeting of foreign ministers of G20. According to Foreign Minister of Mexico Patricia Espinosa, the heads of Ministers of foreign Affairs of the "big twenty" are meeting for the first time before the summit of G20, which is scheduled for June this year.
This year the main themes of the meeting, presided by Mexico, will be issues related to climate change, reforming the global financial system and food security.
According to Mexican President Felipe Calderon, to overcome the global and regional economic disparities, reforming the international monetary and financial system and stimulation of economic growth will be the main topics of discussion during the G20 meeting in 2012.
«G20 pays great attention to economic and financial issues, and this should continue, however, Mexico thinks that it would be wrong not to take this opportunity to think together over other subjects," said Espinosa.
